WELCOME
QUOTATION:
"Bring the whole of your life under the ordering of the spirit of Christ. Are you open to the healing power of God's love? Cherish that of God within you, so that this love may grow in you and guide you. Let your woship and your daily life enrich each other. Treasure your experience of God, however it comes to you. Remember that Christianity is not a notion but a way,"
This is quoted from "Advices and Queries" in Chapter 1.02 paragraph 2 of "Quaker Faith and Practice", the book of Christian discipline of the Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain, an anthology of Quaker writings from the 17th century to the present day, approved by Yearly Meeting 1994.

The 300th Edition of The Announcer was issued and printed in 2010.
The Announcer was the brainchild of Robert Avery, who for many years wrote, typed and printed it. The key contents of the January edition of the The Announcer are shown under the Events Section.
In celebration of the 300th edition we are including a poem written by Sherry Hooper.
HIMSELF
The hands on the clock silently move,
People arrive, the door softly closing,
The silence begins.
Quietly more people, a few smiles
The silence grows.
The children leave, people settle.
The silence deepens
My eyes shut, I draw His image in my mind,
And still silence.
We wait and hope.
Through closed eyes bright light shines,
The silence is changed, charged with power.
I slowly open my eyes, and see
There standing in the midst, His Presence
Slowly He looks about the room and walks,
Touching each person a gentle smile on His Face.
I watch in wonder my own smile wide.
His Head turns, He gazes in my eyes, my soul.
His Smile broadens as He sits next to me
Gently pulling me into His arms and holding me
Resting my head on His shoulder I sigh peacefully, happy,
I am home.
I am home.
